How's the Game Played?

Classic SRPG Combat (With a Twist!)

You'll be dropped into the middle of the fray in the game's first chapter, "Jack Cade's Revolt," with some classic SRPG combat waiting for you. Move all your units during your phase and prepare for the enemy phase. We've got 6 different unit classes (Cavaliers, Archers, Swordfighters, Priests, Engineers, and... Trees?). But wait, this isn't a battlefield at all—it's a theater!

Backstage Socializing & Minigames

Once a map has been cleared, you'll be thrown into the theater's backstage lounge. In this quaint, cozy place, you have finite social actions to engage with the other members and grow closer to them. Increase your maturity, honesty, and comradery by playing minigames like pool or air hockey. And be on the lookout for shops, quests, and other events to engage with.

Cast Your Own Play

What separates Thornetica from any other tactics game is that you're able to change who plays each character in the play, which will affect their stats as well as the dialogue between characters. It's up to you to find the best—or memiest—character to play as the Duke of York!
